IR345 & IR348 - Retro ESCT Deductions are Not Reduced From KiwiSaver Employer Contributions (Doc ID 1991471.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (New Zealand) - Version 12.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Retro ESCT deductions are not reduced from KiwiSaver Employer Contributions in both IR345 and IR348.
Hence this is causing an overpayment into the KiwiSaver Accounts.

This is happening across both R12.1 & R12.2 instances where the latest NZ Legislative patches have been applied

ELEMENT REGISTER REPORT

These figues are fine and confirmed to be correct

EXPECTED IR348 RESULTS
IR348 should show the Employer Contirbution that should go into the employee's KiwiSaver account.
Hence this amount is the Employer contributions less taxes

So for February this should be:
= KiwiSaver ER Contribution (57.94 + 57.94 = 115.88)
+ Retro KiwiSave Contribution (11.37)
- ESCT Deduction (19.12 + 19.12 = 38.24)
- Retro ESCT Deduction (3.75)

= 115.88 + 11.37 - 38.24 - 3.75
= 85.26

ACTUAL IR348 RESULTS
KiwiSaver ER Contribution = 89.01

= KiwiSaver ER Contribution (57.94 + 57.94 = 115.88)
+ Retro KiwiSave Contribution (11.37)
- ESCT Deduction (19.12 + 19.12 = 38.24)

= 115.88 + 11.37 - 38.24
= 89.01

RESULTS SUMMARY
There is difference of 89.01 - 85.26 = 3.75 between the expected and actual results.
Actual results are not taking into account:
- Retro ESCT Deductions
