R12 AP: Payment Process Request Search Is Slow And Ends With "Internal Server Error"

Performance issue while searching for Payment process requests (PPR) in the PPR page based on search criteria - Status.
Steps to Reproduce
Go to Payment Process Request page --> Search section.
Enter value in "Status" field to search for all PPRs based on status criteria and click on GO
The page searches for PPRs as per the search criteria for about 5 minutes and eventually ends with "Internal Server Error"
Either of the following SQL statements can take long time.
