Error "FRM-40200: Field is protected against update" While Updating Cross Validation Rules (Doc ID 1999061.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to disable the Cross Validation rule by unchecking the ENABLE button in Cross Validation Rule definition form
the following error occurs:

FRM-40200: Field is protected against update


STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to General Ledger Responsibility

2. Navigate to Setup > Financials > Flexfields > Key > Rules

3. Query the problematic Cross validation rule

4. Uncheck the "Enable" checkbox
