Virtual Private Data (VPD) Issue With Seeded Views (Doc ID 2000831.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

During Virtual Private Data (VPD) implementation and fthere's a requirement to filter data based on a specific organization (as segregation is done based on the organization) e.g organization_id in ahl_visits_b, etc.

It was noted, that 2 pages were fail due to these views :
- AHL_SR_NON_ROUTINES_V (Non Routing Page)

There was a requirement to have these 2 views (above) be replaced ... and instead,  look at INV_MASTER_ORGANIZATION_ID of last_vld_organization_id from CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES table.

The tables were joined based on last_vld_organization_id which will fail in many business scenarios of movement of components from one organization to other.

This query has been found affecting normal function of various pages and there are many similar queries used in Oracle cMRO.
