How To Change Instance Ownership Through The Install Base User Interface (Doc ID 2004811.1)

Goal

This document explains how to change the ownership of an item instance using the Install Base user interface.

The note documents the use of 2 on screen buttons which are available in different circumstances:

Change Owner - the Change Owner button is visible in the UI for item instances which are currently located and owned by an external party. The button can be used to transfer ownership from one external party to another external party

Transfer to Internal - the Transfer to Internal button is visible in the UI for item instances which are currently located in Inventory but owned by an external party. The button can be used to transfer the ownership to the internal party
