Payroll Dashboard Does Not Have Effective Date Search Criteria Option

(Doc ID 2006289.1)

Last updated on MAY 07, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Payroll dashboard does all the "Assignment Activity Checks" based on current system date, not the effective payroll period.

Example: As per  the current System date (i.e. 13-MAR-2015), Assignment activity is shown for the following periods:

Weekly payroll : 09-MAR-2015 - 15-MAR-2015
Bi-Weekly Payroll : 02-MAR-2015 - 15-MAR-2015

The above payrolls have a positive date offset. That means their Date Paid for the above period would be 18-MAR-2015 (Wednesday). Final Payroll processing would start on 17-MAR-2015 (Tuesday).
However when the system date comes to 17-MAR-2015, Assignment activity for the above payroll would NOT show the above period which needs to be processed.  i.e. For weekly payroll, assignment activity would be shown for weekly 16-MAR-2015 - 22-MAR-2015 and NOT 09-MAR-2015 - 15-MAR-2015 (which is to be verified/processed).

Hence "Assignment Activity Checks" and "Payroll Readiness" have no meaning until we have Effective Date field to run Assignment activity and Payroll Readiness on.
