Symptoms

On 12.1.3 version, got this error on the import after upgrading the database from 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2

 

ALTER_PROCEDURE:"APPS"."COMPILE_ORG_RATES_5081830" failed to create

ORA-39083: Object type ALTER_PROCEDURE:"APPS"."COMPILE_ORG_RATES_5081830" failed  to create with error:
ORA-01775: looping chain of synonyms
Failing sql is:

ALTER PROCEDURE "APPS"."COMPILE_ORG_RATES_5081830" COMPILE PLSQL_OPTIMIZE_LEVEL= 2 PLSQL_CODE_TYPE= INTERPRETED PLSQL_DEBUG= FALSE PLSCOPE_SETTINGS= 'IDENTIFIERS:NONE' REUSE SETTINGS TIMESTAMP '2013-11-16 05:40:43'
  Completed 16 ALTER_PROCEDURE objects in 4 seconds
