Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Incentive Compensation - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In following note "How to deploy and configure Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for Oracle Data Integrator 11g? (Doc ID 1580131.1)" to configure OIC for ODI following steps are executed:
1. Installed OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 and created its run-time environment.
2. Installed ODI 11.1.1.7.0
3. Created a datamart database account "OIC_ANALYTICS" and granted permissions as listed under step #2 under the "Note" section.
4. Applied patches 16240901 and 16240904 to the source ERP (R12.1.3) environment.
5. Ran scripts (OIC_Analytics_DDL.sql, cnanasrcsyss.sql & cnanasrcsysb.sql) in the Datamart under schema OIC_ANALYTICS
6. Ran script OIC_QUOTA_RESTAGING_DDL.sql in the source ERP system.

BUt some clarification is required on
1. Under section "II. Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI Setup", there is a step to create DB Link in the Datamart. Should this link be created under the OIC_ANALYTICS that I have created above?
2. Under section "Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) setup (open the ODI Studio)", when creating a ODI repository, is it mandatory to create this as user OIC_ANALYTICS or can I use a different database account to create it in the Datamart, like OIC_ODIREPO?
