Concurrent Consolidate Inventory Onhand Quantites Finish In Status Error (Doc ID 2012021.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the Consolidate Inventory Onhand Quantites request (INV_CONSOLIDATE_ONHAND) the following error occurs.

ERROR
Consolidation of Onhand Quantities failed.

You see this additional error with inventory debug enabled:

ORA-12899: value too large for column "INV"."MTL_MOQD_BACKUP"."LOT_NUMBER" (actual: 32, maximum: 30)

Here is an example of the error in the log file without debug enabled:


STEPS
1. Navigate to Inventory Responsibility > Requests > Submit
2. Select the Consolidate Inventory Onhand Quantites request
3. The program completes in error.
