PM Schedule Definition, Unable To Change Schedule Option From Base Date (Doc ID 2014703.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After creating and saving a PM Schedule with the scheduling option set to base date, users are unable to update the PM Schedule definition to another scheduling option.

For example, PM Schedule created with base date. Later, meters are created and want to add meter based rules into PM schedule. Cannot change PM Schedule to use "Scheduled Start" to suggest "Next Start" option, and then be able to add meter based rules.

It was found that all other date based options allow updating to other options for scheduling, so would expect to be able to change from and to base date.  It was also found that if users update/change the base date "date" (the actual anchor date), it unlocks the scheduling option LOV so that users can change from Base date to another scheduling option.

STEPS

1. Responsibility: Enterprise Asset Management
2. Navigation: Preventive Maintenance -> Schedule Definition
3. Query PM schedule
4. Find Base Date (under Scheduling Option) greyed out
5. Now, change 'Date' next to Base Date.
6. At this point I can change from Base Date to Meter Base or any other option.
