Encounter "ORA-20001: FLEX-NULL REQUIRED SEGMENT: N, SEGMENT_NAME, RESIDENT_STATUS" while creating employee in India Legislation using "HR_EMPLOYEE_API.CREATE_EMPLOYEE" API (Doc ID 2015545.1)

Symptoms

When trying to execute API, any one of the below error appears

ERROR
------------
ORA-20001: FLEX-NULL REQUIRED SEGMENT: N, SEGMENT_NAME, RESIDENT_STATUS

       (OR)

ORA-20001: The mandatory argument P_RESIDENT_STATUS value cannot be null

Cause: The mandatory argument P_RESIDENT_STATUS has either not been specified or has been explicitly set to null in the API per_in_person_leg_hook.check_in_person_int .

Action: Either specify a value for the P_RESIDENT_STATUS argument which is not null or contact your local support representative

 

STEPS
-----------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using SQL Developer

2. Execute the stand-alone script to create employee in India Legislation using the "HR_EMPLOYEE_API.CREATE_EMPLOYEE" API

3. Encounter the above error
