Symptoms
Cost is calculated incorrectly after performing retirement and adjusting cost with backdate.Steps to Reproduce 1. 2015-05 *** Addition Cost : 234060 YTD depreciation : 0 Accumulated depreciation : 0 Date in Service : 01-MAY-2015 Depreciation method : JP-STL 5YR Salvage value : 0 Depreciation limit amount : 1 2. 2015-06 *** Partial retirement & Calculate Gains and Losses Date Retired : 02-MAY-2015 *Not the beginning of the period. Cost Retired : 50000 Prorate Convention : *Current Month 3. 2015-08 *** Adjusting Cost to 684060 from 184060 with backdate Cost : 184060 -> 684060 Amortized flag : Yes Amortization start date : 01-JUN-2015 <--- backdate 4. 2015-08 *** After adjustment Cost : 734060 <--- Incorrect YTD depreciation : 28369 Accumulated depreciation : 28369 Date in Service : 01-MAY-2015 Depreciation method : JP-STL 5YR Salvage value : 0 Depreciation limit amount : 1 Current Behaivor Cost becomes the sum of the current cost, the adjustment cost and the retirement cost as below:
Cost = Current cost + Adjustment cost + Retirement cost = 184060 + 500000 + 50000 = 734060 Expected Behaivor Cost shoud be 684060, instead of 734060
NOTE: This issue is Not reproduced when Date Retired is the beginning of the period. Ex) When Date Retired is 01-MAY-2015, this issue can not be reproduced.
