R12.2.3 Unable To Save Credit Card Details At The Sales Order Header Level (Doc ID 2016126.1)

Symptoms

On :  12.2.3 version, On Production
When attempting to enter credit card  details on sales order form and save the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
Unable to Setup a Credit Card Bank Account for the Customer. Credit Card information on the order is not valid


STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Order Management responsibility: Navigation: Orders,Returns>Sales Order

2. Select Customer and complete main tab. On Others tab select credit card payment type and enter credit card info.

3. Attempt to save record and you get "Unable to Set up a Credit Card Bank Account for the Customer. Credit Card information on the order is not valid."

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot enter new credit card details for an existing customer.


Note
--------

When Credit Card details are entered in Customer form the same are available in sales order form which can be selected from LOV and process successfully

Issue occurs only if new credit card details are entered from sales order form
