Why is the Condition column always NULL and Non-Enterable in Unit Configuration (UC) Screen ? (Doc ID 2019405.1)

In the Unit Configuration (UC) screen,  the Condition field was always displayed having NULL value.   It was expected that all newly created components should have the default "Active" status and any removed parts should have the Condition that is provided during Removal ?
