Item Disappears While Saving Sale Agreement - BSA line Item Being Replaced With Only Segment1 Of Item Master

After entering Sales Agreement Header, when attempting to save the Line, find the Item gets truncated to show just the first segment of the Item Structure.
Expect the Item to retain all the segment values as when entered originally.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Order Management Super User
2. Navigate: Orders Workbench, Order Organizer> Agreements > Sales Agreement
3. Enter the Header > Go to Lines tab , enter the Item and other details > Save.
4. Notice the Item is truncated after saving.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot test and use the Sales Agreement functionality with a truncated item.
