The Claim Line Amount Is Updated When The Claim Header Amount Is Updated (Doc ID 2022433.1)

Last updated on JUNE 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Trade Management - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A user creates a manual claim with an amount of 25 and a claim line with a total amount of 20 (qty = 2 & price = 10).

The claim amount at header level is updated manually to 21 and saved.

The claim line is automatically updated with an amount of 21 (but qty = 2 & price = 10).

When the claim is settled by a credit memo, auto-invoice rejects this interface line, (an update in interface table is mandatory to continue)

This is because of the following:

The claim header amount asked by the customer is 21
The claim line is the amount given to the customer is 20
The settlement method of the claim line splits automatically the Claim with Claim CLAxxx of 20 (closed) and Claim CLAxxx_1 of 1 (open) which then has to be rejected.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Oracle Trade Management User
2. Trade Management > Claims
3. Create a manual claim with an amount of 25 and a claim line with a total amount of 20 (qty = 2 & price = 10).
Update the claim amount at header level manually to 21 and save.
Observe the claim line is automatically updated with an amount of 21 (but qty = 2 & price = 10).
When the claim is settled by a credit memo, auto-invoice rejects this interface line
