Web ADI Has Fatal Error: Please Have Your System Administrator View the Bne.log File (Doc ID 2023492.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to upload lines via the Additions Integrator, the following error is returned:

Fatal error: Please have your system administrator view the bne.log file.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /XXX/oracle/XXXX/apps/apps_st/appl/bne/12.0.0/upload/XXXX.xml (Permission denied)

When submitting with BNE trace on, there are numerous messages returned. One of the messages included:

AJPRequestHandler-HTTPThreadGroup-37 ERROR          BneBaseSQL.setString: Stack trace: java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column index
    at oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement.setStringInternal(OraclePreparedStatement.java:5168
