How to Revalue Assets After The Year End Depreciation Is Calculated?
(Doc ID 2028053.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2020
Applies to:
Oracle Assets - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
How can revaluation be performed at the year end after depreciation is calculated for the last month of the year? This is a requirement in some countries.
Accumulated depreciation should include the last month's depreciation before the revaluation and the revaluation should be reflected in the same year which is being closed.
In the original Oracle Assets functionality, depreciation is the last transaction allowed in a period, but the above requirement expects the revaluation to be the last transaction.
