Smart Link RelatedBuyShipment on Order Movement Advance Layout Throws Error, "java.lang.NullPointerException"

Symptoms
PROBLEM:
When using an Advanced Layout based on Order Movement Table, when right clicking on an order movement to use the SmartLinks and click on Related Buy Shipments, OTM throws error "java.lang.NullPointerException." The other smart links included in screen set like EDIT, VIEW, REFRESH, OPTIMIZATION PLAN, BUILD SHIPMENTS WITH OPTIONS, UNASSIGN ORDER MOVEMENT all DO work, it is just Related Buy Shipments that throws the error.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Create an Advanced Layout to display all Order Movements and has a screen set that includes SmartLink, "Related Buy Shipments"
2) Right Click on any Order Movement
3) Click on SmartLink = Related Buy Shipment
4) Observe error: java.lang.NullPointerException
