Payments Credit Cards DFF Field Cannot Be Updated To Null And Saved - Old Value Is Still Retained (Doc ID 2033199.1)

Symptoms

In Customer's credit card section cannot set Payments Credit Card Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) values to null and save it.  The old value is still retained.

 

Steps to Reproduce

Create DFF
Application - Payments
Title - Credit Card

Defined two segments.
XX Attribute1
XX Attribute2

Save Changes and Compile.

Navigate to Receivables Manager Responsibility
Query a Customer
Click on Details.
Click on Payment Details sub tab.
Add a Credit Card.
Apply and Save changes.

Click on Update pencil Icon for the "Credit Card" that has been added.
Enter Values for DFF segments
XX Attribute1
XX Attribute2
Apply and Save Changes. Values gets saved properly.

Once again click on Update pencil Icon for the "Credit Card" that has been added.
Try to make one of the segment Value to Null, apply and save changes
Go back to the same page.  We see that old value is still retained and Null value has not been saved.
Unable to update the value to null, can only change it to some other non null value.
