Incorrect SOE For Termination Type Death (Doc ID 2033219.1)

On : 12.1 HRMS RUP7 version, Australian Payroll

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Getting incorrect figures on SOE for employee with termination type of death.

Example SOE:

TAXABLE EARNINGS:
 ETP Payment  300000

NON TAXABLE EARNINGS:
 KM Eng  9.24
 Ordinary time  3030.22

PRE TAX DEDUCTIONS:
 Salary Sacrifice  51.60

BALANCES (This Pay):
 Gross Earnings  303039.46
 Non Taxable Earnings  2997.10  <<<<<<
 Pre Tax Deductions  51.60
 Taxable Gross  299990.76
 Tax Deductions  113850.00

 

NOTE: Pre Tax is used in this final payment for death.  In this case have to deduct pre tax amount from salary/wages.  System will return warning message for this:

"Pre Tax Deductions exist for this employee. Salary/wages are non-taxable on death therefore Pre Tax Deductions should be removed for final payment."

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

On SOE, the values in the 'Non Taxable Earnings' section (9.24, 3030.22) and 'Balances' for 'Non Taxable Earnings' (2997.10) should be the same.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Terminate the employee with Termination Type = Death
2. Go to employee's Element Entries and add Termination Payments, Direct Payments and Pre Tax Deduction elements
3. Run Quickpay to process and examine the results

BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
For employees which fall into this case, the SOE shows incorrect figures.
