When entering in an invoice in 11i, one could enter the information at the header level (including distribution set) and when hit save and go down in to the distribution level, all of the applicable information was saved (including distribution set and amount)In R12 - when following the same steps, once hit Save, after entering in information at the header level, the amount isn't carried down in to the line level or distribution.
