Uncheck "Enabled For Attributes Update" Checkbox In Common Bill to Revert Changes ? -- Not possible (Doc ID 2034406.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Bills of Material - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Bills

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Not able to uncheck "Enabled for Attributes Update" Checkbox in Common BOM

We have created some common BOMs with the flag "Enabled for Attributes Update" set to Yes. But, this is causing issues as it is allowing the users to change the WIP Supply Type at the child level and hence the BOM Components are getting delinked from the master. Meaning the supply type of the component in the child organization is not in sync with the master organization.

We need a datafix to relink these back to the Common BOM, and maintain the same supply type as on the common BOM.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
There should be a way to revert commoned bills to reference common bills again, and not allow updates.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Accidentally , clicked on 'Yes' , This not only delinked the bill , but also updated supply type to Push.

Changes

New feature for common bills - "Enable Attributes for Update"
