Construction Estimate Overhead Costs Not Calculating Correctly (Doc ID 2038509.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Resource overheads for vehicles and equipment are not calculating correctly on construction estimates, but are correct on the work order estimate.
The estimate seems to be using the formula (Quantity * Rate) * Quantity instead of just Quantity * Rate.

The functionality was never working for vehicles and equipment. The overheads were added last week for these two resource types. This functionality works correctly for other resource types with overhead (employees).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Resource overheads for vehicles and equipment should be calculating correctly on construction estimates.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Departments form:
  Department = Construct

  Overhead Rates:
  Auto Depr => Bases = Resource Unit
  Auto Ins => Bases = Resource Unit
  BU Burdens => Bases = Resource Value
  Const O/H => Bases = Resource Value
  Equip Cap => Bases = Resource Unit

3. Maintenance Super User
  a. Go to Construction Units
  b. Enter Construction Estimate = Sarah Test 100
  c. Construction estimates are not calculated correctly. The estimate seems to be using the formula (Quantity * Rate) * Quantity instead of just Quantity * Rate.
