Pay Annualization Factor Calculation for Hourly Employees on Payslip - Calculating Actual Hours Not Salary Basis Hours (Doc ID 2039166.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 15, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (US) - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Self Service Payroll

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
PAY_ANNUALIZATION_FACTOR is NOT set to 1 for hourly employees.  As a result of this, the employee payslip is showing an annual calculation basis of 2080 hours, which may not be correct for an hourly employee. This information may be misleading to an employee.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
PAY_ANNUALIZATION_FACTOR to be set to 1, so hours worked which equals hours paid are accurately reflected, versus an automatic salary calculation based on 2080 hours per year.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Log in as an Employee
2. Select Self Service > Payslip
3. Payslip displays Annual Salary even though the employee is paid/works hourly.
