Script Eamdelses.sql Failed During 12.2.4 Patch with error ORA-12899: value too large for column (Doc ID 2040698.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR  

When applying patch to upgrade to 12.2.4, script eamdelses.sql  is erring out with following error:

ORA-20000: Step = 2
SQLERRM = ORA-12899: value too large for column
"APPLSYS"."FND_FORM_FUNCTIONS_A"."FUNCTION_NAME" (actual: 31, maximum: 30)

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Apply patch 17919161 to upgrade to 12.2.4
