Lot Costing Issue With Outside Processing Item (OSP) on Batch - Always uses Resource Cost and Not Purchasing Price Irrespective of Setup

On : 12.2.4 version, Lot Costs


Lot costing always uses an OSP resource cost never the PO Cost even though the resource is set up to use PO Price.

Actual Costing uses the Purchasing Price whereas Lot Costing always uses the Resource Cost from the batch Step irrespective of setup.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Production Supervisor>Create a batch for a new product using a new OSP item as an ingredient.
2. Receive OSP item.
3. Run Lot Costing and Actual Costing
4. Compare the costs.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, batch costs are incorrect and so costs and financial results cannot be completed for the period.
