GLLEZL Journal Import Execution Report Shows Incorrect Number of Journal Lines Imported (Doc ID 2044692.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
GLLEZL module: Journal Import
GLXJEENT Journal Entry Form

Symptoms

A GL journal was imported in Summary mode so that the lines in gl_interface were summarized into less lines for the journal.

Journal Import Execution Report displays incorrect value for 'Batches Created' - 'Total Lines' field. This number of lines does not match the Journal Entry form (GLXJEENT), showing instead the number of lines originally available in gl_interface table for import.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Run Journal Import for a batch that will be summarized to show less rows in GL journal comparing to what was populated in gl_interface

2. Review Journal Import Execution Report for 'Total Lines' fields, acknowledge the number of lines

3. Note this does not match the newly created batch

EXAMPLE:

there were 5 rows in gl_interface table and Journal Import created a batch having only 2 rows after summarization. In 'Batches Created' area, 'Total Lines' field value is 5 for the newly created batch which is wrong, it should show 2 lines:
