Error 'APP-BEN-91588' After Adding a Contact in Self-Service > Benefits (With Reinstate Code for Life Event) (Doc ID 2048910.1)

Symptoms

On 12.1 HRMS RUP7 version of Advanced Benefits,

When attempting to add a new contact in Self-Service during newly eligible life event using Reinstate Codes, the following error occurs:

ERROR

APP-BEN-91588: Medical plan type is in error. 1 options must be selected for this plan type.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to responsibility US Super HRMS Manager.
2. Navigate to People > Benefits Service Center and query an example employee.
3. Process a life event that will allow the employee to newly enroll, such as "Status Change PT>FT".
4. Access Self-Service > Benefits and add a child contact record.
5. Click the Next button on the Dependents and Beneficiaries page.
Error occurs.

The issue can also be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to responsibility US Super HRMS Manager.
2. Navigate to People > Benefits Service Center and query an example employee.
3. Process a life event that will allow the employee to newly enroll, such as "Status Change PT>FT".
4. Do not access the enrollment form.
5. Add a child contact and back out the Status Change (PT>FT) life event to Unprocessed status and reprocess to evaluate the new contact record.
Error occurs.
