Symptoms

When viewing resource or materials transactions, observed erred transactions with any of the following error message

Error Codes Explained
Error Code Error Message
WIP_NO_BALANCE No balance exists for the appropriate period for the job/schedule
CST_NO_BALANCE_ROW Record not found in WIP_PERIOD_BALANCE
Cause:        There is no record in WIP_PERIOD_BALANCES for the repetitive schedule or job.
Action:        Contact Oracle Support Representative
CST_INVALID_WIP The wip entity is either not defined or does not have a period balance entry.

 

The issue can be observed with any of the below steps

1. Follow the below responsibility[R] according to the product
    case A - [R] Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or
    case B - [R] Manufacturing and Distribution Manager (WIP) or
    case C - [R] Cost Management-SLA

2. Observed erred transactions in below navigation according to the product
    For resource transactions
        A. Work Order Transactions -> Pending Resource Transactions form
        B. WIP -> Resource Transactions -> Pending Resource Transactions form
        C. View Transactions -> Pending Resource Transactions form        

    For material transactions
        A. Inventory -> Transactions -> Material Transactions form
        B. WIP -> Material Transactions -> View Material Transactions form
        C. View Transactions -> Material Transactions form       


From the data base you can view the errors by using below scripts

    For Material Transactions, the below query output display the errors
