How to Get Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) Instead Of IP Address In The Browser Address Bar On OTM Login Screen? (Doc ID 2053783.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.0 to 6.3.7 [Release 6.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

OTM login screen switches from Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) to IP address in address bar.

When logging into OTM using a url with a server name, ie  http://yourServerName:port/GC3/glog.webserver.servlet.umt.Login

Some clients have reported after they entered their login credentials the login page reappears with IP address instead of FQDN in address bar.
They are then able to login, but the address bar continues to display the IP address instead of the FQDN.
