On : 12.1.3 version, Repair Order Management
Planners Desktop creates multiple Repair Orders even when specifying the Quantity as 1
Creating Repair Order (Refurbishment type) from Planners Desktop for the Defective Materials. But even if setting Quantity =1 in the Repair Order Details window (by clicking on Repair Part in the Planners Desktop), system creates as many different Repair Orders (under one SR) as the quantity is available in the Defective Subinventory in Planners Desktop.
The intended functionality should be: Even if there are multiple quantity exists in the Defective Subinventory, system should create Repair Order for the Quantity as specified in the Repair Order Details form, while creating the Repair Part.
Expect to create only one repair order gets created as the Quantity is 1
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (R)Responsibility: Depot Repair Super User
Navigation: Spares Management > Planners Desktop
2. Drill down to the Defective Organization (from where the defective part is to be Moved In to Repair Organization for Repair. Click on Part Status tab.
3. Found there are 3 Defective Onhand exists for the Part – eg:ACC01450. Click on Repair Part button
4.Change the Quantity to 1. Provide a Need By Date and click on Order button
5.Received the message that Internal Order – eg:100017303 is created.
6.Navigation: Depot Repair > Repair Orders
7.Search with Internal Order Number – as per Step 5 eg:100017303
8.Click on OK button
Found that 3 Repair Order of Type Refurbishment are created each of Qty 1; even though the Quantity is entered as 1 in the Repair Order Details window
