How to Update Kanji Last Name(PER_INFORMATION18) and Kanji First Name(PER_INFORMATION19) of Person in Japan Business Group (Doc ID 2056823.1)

Goal

Kanji First and Last names are mandatory in Japan(JP) legislation. Kanji Last Name is stored in PER_INFORMATION18 and Kanji First Name is stored in PER_INFORMATION19 in PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F table. If values are not present, application does not properly function. (e.g. Error "You must enter Kanji first or last name." occurs in People form, Error "HZ_FIRST_OR_LAST_NAME_REQUIRED" occurs during the transaction,..etc)

Kanji names may not be populated in the instance upgraded from the older releases. This document explains how to populate Kanji names.
