Incorrect Error When Adding New Products To A Volume Offer - Products Cannot Be Added To A Backdated Volume Offer Adjustment. (Doc ID 2058299.1)

Goal

 When  creating a volume offer adjustment with new products the following error occurs :-

Private API: Validate_dm_model_rec
Private API: Validate_Offer_Adjustmentstart

Private API: Calling create table handler
Private API: Create_Offer_Adjustmentend
Private API: Create_Offer_Adj_Tierstart
Private API: Validate_Offer_Adj_Tier
OfferDiscountLineId is : 1002

Private API: Validate_Offer_Adj_Tierstart

Products cannot be added to a Backdated Volume Offer Adjustment.

However this is NOT a backdated adjustment so the error message is incorrect

Is there a way to prevent this incorrect error from occurring ?
