On : 12.1.3 version, User Login issues after a clone
Login to E-Business fails after a clone for Internet Explorer browser with the following error:
Unable to generate forwarding URL. Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
The clone was to new infrastructure servers, and in the source instance user can login successfully.
After checking the browser URL it appears the forms servlet is attempting to open a URL referencing the hostname of the server, instead of the virtual name for the instance.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Perform a clone of an existing instance to new hardware
2. Attempt to login to E-Business suite from Internet Explorer
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot access application.
