Symptoms

EBS Diagnostics 12.1.3

Running the "Best Practices : E-Business Suite Security Tests " and it fails on test "STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS". Sub-Tests after this are not run.


ERROR

STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS [Top]
STEP DESCRIPTION:
Oracle ships seeded user account STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS with default password. Change
the default passwords immediately. Depending on product usage, some seeded accounts may be
disabled. Do not disable SYSADMIN or GUEST user accounts.
SQL QUERY EXECUTED:
select count(*) from fnd_user where UPPER(user_name) = 'STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS' and
end_date < sysdate and end_date is not null
RETURNED VALUE: 0
EXPECTED RESULT: The value must be = 1
Error
Default seeded user STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS is not disabled,please change the password for
STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS user if this user account is needed.
Action:
Please change the password for STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS user account by using the
following command:FNDCPASS apps/[pwd1] 0 Y system/[pwd2] STANDALONE BATCH PROCESS
[newpwd].
STATUS:Failed

Can be reproduced using the following steps.

  1. Start Oracle E-Business Suite
  2. Connect to responsibility Application Diagnostics
  3. Select the Diagnose menu option
  4. Click button Select Application and select Application "Oracle Application Object Library"
  5. Scroll down to group "EbusinessSecurity"
  6. Select test name "Best Practices: E-Business Suite Security Tests"
  7. confirm results.
