R12:CE: Creating Bank Account Transfer Shows Error: "Transfer Date - The GL Period Is Not Open Or In Future" (Doc ID 2061239.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version,   Bank Account Transfer

When creating a new Bank Account Transfer , the form shows the following error message:

ERROR

Error:
TRANSFER DATE - The GL period is not open or in future.

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Ensure the GL Period is Open.
  2. Navigate -> CE Responsibility -> Bank Account Transfer -> Create New Bank Account Transfer
  3. Enter Comments in the Comment free form Field under General Information.
  4. Tab to the Source Bank Account Information and select the Source Bank Account.
  5. Notice the Error regarding The GL period is not open or in future appears right away.

 

Note : The Error only occurs when Comments are being entered on the Ban Account Transfer form.
