Symptoms
When performing a Database Character Set Conversion to Unicode (UTF-8) using Oracle Database Migration Assistant for Unicode (DMU), some data in the General Ledger tables has expanded beyond the length of its column width when converting to Unicode.
This data needs to be shortened before the conversion can take place.
The affected data can include the following :-
