GLXOCPER: Unable To Close General Ledger Period After Reopening (GLXOCPER) as the "Periods - Close Periods" Process is not Submitted (Doc ID 2062504.1)

Symptoms

After re-opening a period, it is not possible to close the same period.
The GL open/close form (GLXOCPER) will not allow any user to re-close the period.

Using the standard Open and Close Periods form the status of period ' is changed to close and the save button selected.
At this point the bottom left hand portion of the screen states that this record has been saved however the "Periods - Close Periods" process is never kicked off.

 

Potential messages thrown by the form:

FRM-40401 No Changes to Save
OR
FRM-40400 Transaction complete and 3 records applied and saved.

Changes

 Upgrade to 12.2.4.
