Oracle released the functionality of Enhancement Request Bug 13573431 ( NEED ABILITY TO ADD PERIOD 27 TO PAYROLL CALENDAR), which provides for some automation of the extension of payroll period dates. The purpose of this functionality was to ensure the first payroll period of the new year fell into that year and was not included in the previous year or the check date falls on a holiday. In the past this was a very manual process and required changes on both the front and back end.
In HRMS 12.1 RUP 8, new functionality was introduced to allow users to change the number of periods in a year to either 27 (for bi-weekly payroll) or 53 (for weekly payroll). What steps should the user take to make this happen?
