WebAdi: Unable to Use DFF for the Journal - Error Value XX For The Flexfield Segment XXXXXX Does Not Exist In The Value Set XX (Doc ID 2063850.1)

WebAdi Descriptive Flexfield (DFF)

Symptoms

From DFF for the journal line, enabled a value set, with Validation Type: Table and List Type: LOV, which contains a query for selecting customers.
Table: (SELECT (SUBSTR(party_name, 1, 30)) party_name, status,party_id FROM HZ_PARTIES) party

Trying to load the journals from the Webadi where DFF was enabled for the journal line, unable to select a few of customers using DFF Line from WebAdi Layout. For other customers (DFF values) it worked fine.

 

The following patches were installed but did not solve the issue:
<Patch 16655943:R12.BNE.B> Oracle Web Application Desktop Integrator Consolidation Patch
<Patch 18538028:R12.BNE.B> R12 WEB ADI DOES NOT VALIDATE DFF


ERROR:

Value XX For The Flexfield Segment XXXXXX Does Not Exist In The Value Set XX

STEPS:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) General Ledger>Journal>Launch Journal Wizard
2) Click on Create document
3) Click on enable content
4) Go to review and click on unprotect
5) Click on the line DFF
6) Enter Flexfield: Enter Journals: Lines
7) Search for customer: Select the Customer
