Connecting to the Server Failed

On : 12.1.3 version, Mobile Expenses

An error occurs when using the "&" (ampersand symbol) in Purpose at Expense Header

While submitting an Expense Report using Mobile App, an error occurs if “&” is used anywhere in the ‘Purpose’ at the header level. The error message is “Connecting to the server failed” which is misleading as well.

Mobile Expenses work with all other special characters (such as $, @, %, - etc) but error occurs only when using “&”.

Connecting to the server failed

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log onto Mobile Apps
2. Create an expense report with the special character "&" (ampersand) in the Purpose field
3. Attempt to Submit the report.
