Cannot Log Into EBS Getting Internal Server Error in IE & Network Error in FF after JDK6 Upgrade (Doc ID 2069169.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 version, logging into E-Business Suite (EBS) 11i encountered following error after RapidInstall, upgrade to JDK6 and applied patches to cope with IE8 or IE11

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, <email address> and inform them of the time the error occurred,


Using FireFox:

Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)

Your requested host "<host>.<domain>" could not be resolved by DNS.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Newly installed EBS 11i instance with RapidInstall
2. Upgrade database to 10.2.0.4
3. Apply patches such as AD.I.7, Developer6i Patch19, ATG PF_H.RUP7, patches for IE11
4. Upgrade to JDK6 on EBS server side
5. Login to EBS entering user and password

Business Impact
Cannot use the EBS instance.

Changes

Upgrade database to 10.2.0.4, apply patches such as AD.I.7, Developer6i Patch19, ATG PF_H.RUP7, patches for IE11 and upgrade to JDK6 on EBS server.
