Item attributes "Check Material Shortage" and "Transactable" are interdependent attributes. "Check Material Shortage" must be No if "Transactable" is set to No.
With the following steps,
Attribute Dependency Conflict(Item: Transactable=No, Check Material Shortage=Yes) happens.
Because of this data corruption(Attribute Dependency Conflict), user will face APP-INV-86696 error when updating any attribute.
APP-INV-86696: Cannot propagate Master controlled attribute value of
Transactions Enabled Flag to child organizations.
Cause: This operation would result in attribute dependency conflict of Check
Shortages Flag (value: 'Y') and the Transactions Enabled Flag (value: 'N') in
one of the child organizations.
Action: Check the Attribute Control settings on these flags

Check Material Shortage : Master Level
- Navigate to Inventory: Items > Master Items
Create master item with following values:
Transactable : Yes
Check Material Shortage : Yes
- Assign item to both Master and Child Organizations
- Navigate to Inventory: Items > Organization Items
(Change the Item Status to Inactive will reach to the same result.)
- Attribute Dependency Conflict(Item: Transactable=N, Check MaterialShortage=Y) happens.
