Post Election Fast Formula not Firing in Self-Service > Benefits if Employee Makes no Changes (Doc ID 2075249.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Benefits - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is using a Post Election fast formula to enforce enrollment in a Health Savings Account when a particular Medical plan is elected.

SCENARIO:

Employee is currently enrolled in a High Deductible Medical plan and participating in the Health Savings Account.
Upon processing Open, participant is defaulted to HSA No Coverage to force them to re-select a new coverage amount.

In Self-Service > Benefits, if the participant makes no changes to ANY of the enrollments and clicks the Next button, they are able to continue and no error occurs.
If ANY change is made and the Next button is pressed, then the Post Election fast formula fires.

In the PUI, the error fires when saving (where no changes to elections are made):

APP-BEN-92187: This enrollment result does not satisfy post-election edit rules.

How does one fire the Post Election fast formula in Self-Service when the user doesn't make any changes?
