12.2 Cloning Fails As Adpreclone Does Not Generate FMW_home.jar Correctly (Doc ID 2076461.1)

Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2.4, Rapidclone

Adpreclone does not generate the FMW_home.jar correctly.

Adpreclone does not consistently generate the FMW_home.jar - No errors are received, however the the size of the jar file is very small. When the file is used for a clone, it fails to create the webtier.

WARNING : Nov 10, 2015 5:31:33 PM - CAUSE - CLONE-20261 There are six possible causes for an invalid inventory pointer file "/etc/oraInst.loc":
 1. File did not exist.
 2. File did not have read permission.
 3. It was a zero size file.
 4. File did not have any pointer to OraInventory.
 5. Oracle Inventory found from file was not absolute.
 6. Oracle Inventory specified in the inventory pointer file did not have write permission.

WARNING : Nov 10, 2015 5:31:33 PM - ERROR - CLONE-20315 Unable to access Oracle Inventory.

 It was not possible to access the Oracle Inventory.
WARNING : Nov 10, 2015 5:31:33 PM - ACTION - CLONE-20315 Provide a valid Oracle Inventory pointer location.

Due to this issue, users cannot successfully clone the instance.

Changes

File /etc/oraInst.loc, or the oraInventory directory are corrupted, or have incorrect permissions.
