XLABAPUB: Update Subledger Accounting Balances Errors With - Balances are not initialized (Doc ID 2079083.1)

Symptoms

When running Create accounting in Fixed Assets, XLABAPUB: Update Subledger Accounting Balances errors each time with the following error occurs.

ERROR

Balances are not initialized for the latest open period.
Before proceeding with balance calculation, run Open Period Balances Program for Ledger ID: #### for the latest open period in General Ledger.

An internal error has occurred in the program xla_balances_calc_pkg.calculate_balances.  Balances are not initialized for the latest open period.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Other > Request > Run > Create Accounting
