0908: Oracle Linux Load Average Climb (Doc ID 2079568.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.3 version, Performance Triage. Any performance issue not covered by an existing component.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Database on RAC : 2 nodes 11.2.0.3.12
Application R12.2.3 with shared file system on multiple nodes running ( OHS, Forms, OACORE, Concurrent Manager)
Implemented SSO with OID 11g and OAM 11g.

Seeing higher than expected IO (Disk writes). At times system can become unresponsive and have to reboot to recover from problem.

Disk write IO is appears at around 200 K/s and as a percentage 15% (using iostat). These processes are httpd.worker -DSSL and there can be many of these


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

IO should not be so high.
