Mass Allocations Failing When Using With Ledger Sets: Invalid ledger/balancing segment value combination (Doc ID 2082417.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Implementing ledger sets for which balancing segment values (BSV) were assigned to all ledgers. The Mass Allocation batch has formulas for several currencies and is failing to create entries only in two ledgers. The output file shows the error for several combinations; unexpectedly the system tries to allocate to these combinations with balancing segment values that are not assigned to the ledgers. The formula is the same for all currencies but for some reason the system is trying to allocate to certain combinations only in two ledgers.

B: Invalid ledger/balancing segment value combination.
D: No journal was created because accounts for allocation basis have zero or no balances.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. General Ledger responsibility
2. Generate Mass Allocation
3. See the error generated
