Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface Fails with Error 'UnknownHostException:' (Doc ID 2083362.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.2 version, Integrations & Conc. Program

When attempting to run Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface, to send shipping information to OTM, the following error occurs.

Endpoint http://ussltcsnl3355.solutions.glbsnet.com:8001/soa-infra/services/default/orabpel/default/WshSendTxnToOtmService
[SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:IOException; msg=http://ussltcovm044.solutions.glbsnet.com; targetException=java.net.UnknownHostException: http://ussltcovm044.solutions.glbsnet.com]
at oracle.soap.transport.http.OracleSOAPHTTPConnection.send(OracleSOAPHTTPConnection.java:774)

Exception occured in parseResponsesaxException in parseResponseStart of root element expected.
java.lang.Exception: saxException in parseResponseStart of root element expected.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Shipping->interfaces->Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface
2. Submit this request.
3. Request ends in error
4. View the log file, see above error

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot send delivery information to OTM for transportation planning..
